Coffee Shop Review: Daily Brew, Greenwoods Executive Village

Hooray! This is my very first review for a beverage store/coffee shop.

Okay, so I was invited to a birthday celebration at Greenwoods Executive Village yesterday (10/29/13) and after dinner, we went to this small joint around the village called Daily Brew.  My friend Pau was giving so many positive comments about the place.  I guess it was really a hit in Greenwoods.  Upon entering the shop, there was a cozy feel as there were couches (one thing I find good in a chill place), it's chic and it was nicely decorated.  Cool glow of the place with cute pictures and designs around.
At the counter, a very grouchy barista came up to us.  Usually, when I go to coffee shops, the barista would always have that perky smile, do some little chats that would really give you a good vibe, but not this lady, she was in a very bad mood.  Nonetheless, I asked about the drinks they serve, and what  comes with it or what and the angst of this lady, I could not foget.  Good thing I was taught by my elders that when it comes to food, don't mess with the people who will make it or serve it to you.  I was still in a smiley face asking her about the drinks and all that when she kept on like hurrying me up. That's not good customer service skills from that lady I must say.

When our mind was made up, I ordered Iced Macadamia Blanc coffee, if I must rate, it was okay.  But I didn't really taste much of the coffee, it kind of tasted like tea to me, a little bit sweet that I can't really explain.  Angel had the White Rabbit, as the grouchy girl explained, it tasted like white rabbit candy.  It's just plain sweet sugar.  I forgot Pau's drink but I think it's good.

Oh before I forget, since I don't have a data plan and I like to check in to places I go to, I asked for the Wifi password that's free, and the girl said, we close at 11 pm ok. I was like, no worries with your attitude I won't stay long.

To rate it 1-10 I'd say it will be on the 5 for me.  I just really enjoyed the company of my friends.

In my opinion this blackboard art thing for their promotion is very nice.

Below, you see a table with all of the comments and card like things designed which I think is very cool.

This picture amazed me, I'm not really a fan of art but it's a beautiful thing to hang in someone's

Below, the cozy chair and at the far back, it's the grouchy barista! lol... :)

I hope you like my review you guys, don't forget to subscribe, comment, like and share. :) --- Julienne ---

Food Truck Experience

Hello loves,

So first of all, I want to apologize for not blogging for the past week as I was too busy prepping for the new change I will be doing very soon.  Anyways, last Thursday I had a very exciting  trip at Capitol Commons in Pasig with my mom and dad, niece Mikaiela, cousin Anabella and Auntie Cindy.  We visited the new fad around in the food business, the Food Truck Park.  As we stroll around the place, I noticed there were live bands (not the typical bands but hey, they are playing an instrument and singing), also I saw that guy who does blues.  It's a pretty fun vibe and the weather was very cooperative.  Moving on, we checked out the trucks and ofcourse I devoured the Shawarma Bro's truck as I so love Persian Cuisine.  The meat is so tender and the only critic that I would say is that I don't taste the garlic much in the sauce, also, the portion for the rice is quite small other than than, it's okay for it's price.

My dad bought Chili Burger if I remember it right and for 200 bucks, he said it was okay, we also tried some steak fries which is cooked to perfection as well.  The kids and my dad got a taste of the Gelato.  Although the food truck business was more popular in United States, I think the people here in our country are now starting to get the concept/idea having four wheels along with food.  Overall, I'd rate it a 3 out of 5 for my first visit but let's see, maybe the other trucks will have something to offer on my next visit.  Please check out the little video I made about this trip.  I'll see you on my next blog. :)

Make-up tutorial by my niece mikaiela and cousin anabella

I have recently uploaded this video of my cousin Anabella (7 yrs. old) and my niece Mikaiela (5 yrs. old) enjoying putting make-up on my face and just merely letting them play with the colors and have fun.  As a girl, I know that we love to play with grown-up make-up and this opportunity is really a dream come true especially for my cousin Anabella.

This is also posted in my youtube account, please subscribe and like my videos up there. thanks for the love. :)

...So it's finally my time to write again!

Before I start this journey, I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Julienne but a lot call me by my nickname Jelly, so just choose whatever you'd prefer.

It hasn't been a secret to all that I love food, who doesn't right. I was raised in a middle class family who eats 3 main meals a day and a few extra meals for comfort (you know what I mean). I have a passion for good food, it may either be a home cooked meal, street foods to dining anywhere along the metro. It's my belief that you can see wonders in devouring food alone and tasting the goodness of every ingredients.

It has always been my dream to put up a site/a commentary place wherein I can share my adventures with all of the people around me. It will feature my food of course, my thoughts about it and the fun stuffs that I do.  The encouragement from family and few friends has fueled me up and this is why I thought and said to myself, let's go for it.

So, since I think this is still something I haven't really prepared for and that it's still a blur that I don't have any topics I have to share, then I'd like to know what are your suggestions, comments or tips for me. I'd love to hear you thoughts.
