Kit Kat - Green Tea Flavor

Hey guys!

I just wanted to share to you guys one of my favorite desserts/snacks.  As you may know, I'm not really fond of eating sweets.  Mostly I like dark chocolates or just plain one's to cleanse my palette maybe from an oily dish or what not.

So how can I describe this best to those who haven't tried this sweet nothing.  Have you guys tried the Green Tea frappucino from Starbucks?  If yes, it's that taste.  The milky, kind of earthy as well as powdery taste.

This is definitely made from authentic green tea leaves mixed with milk and sugar. (oh gosh I'm salivating)

This particular dessert is not not made here, haller I know you see the Japanese writing on the packaging.  We normally have the usual black and white one's and sometimes the limited edition black and the mint flavors but this one is my favorite.

Every chance I get to see this in the groceries, I'd grab a pack or two.  A small pack has 12 pieces and it cost around 200+ pesos.  I know it's a little bit expensive for sweets but hey, we need to do some guilty pleasures once in a while right.

I just want to share that before my best friend and I found a store where in they sell the different kinds of Kitkat's I'm not so sure if it's still in Metrowalk though, but if you guys have time drop by there.

Overall I give this one a good 5 out of 5, it's yummy and it's something new.  This by the way doesn't appeal to all but hell it works for me.

Thanks for reading my short blog about this dessert.  Talk to you guys soon, as always let me know your thoughts and comment down below and let me know what you wanted to see next. :)

What's new in the Metro: Stylash Eyelash Salon SMDC Light Mall Branch

Tired on prepping your self for that awesome look everyday.  Don't you ever wish that one morning you'd wake up and you look like you all set to go?

Nowadays, it's no longer a problem.  There has been lot of ways to enhance your features even if you just woke up. From eyeliners, lip tattoos and brow tattoos.  A wide range of beauty enhancers are around.

My aunt Anna, my mom Judith and Uncle Reynan

One fad that I liked was when the eyebrow tattoo's came out years back, I had mine 8 years ago and I still get tons of compliments when they notice my eyebrows.

But I'm not here to talk about my brow; on the other hand, I'd like to share that my uncle and aunt recently opened their own franchise of the "Stylash Eyelash Salon".  This new venture made my heart skip a beat.

Being that kikay niece, I had to try this one out.  Our branch opened last Friday, March 20, 2015 at SMDC Light Mall in Mandaluyong City.  The store is located in the Wellness wing on the second floor.

I'm on full support on family, so I had to be the first one's who laid down and had my lashes done.

By the way, the place reminded me of the brand Benefit cosmetics due to their Pink accents and girly touch on the designs.

Look who's manning the station (me). :)

Depending on how you would like your lashes to look like, we've got it here.  There is a wide range of choices to choose from Natural lashes to Full Diva effect.

They use a "mink" lashes and it's said to be one of the lightest kind of lash you may get as it's made from animal hair.  "Mink" is a semi-aquatic carnivorous mammal and is closely related to the weasel and highly prized for their "fur".

Once you are decided what kind from the choices above (e.g. Full diva), next thing to choose is the shape of the lashes and color.  J shape lash will most likely be like natural lashes and the C share one's will give you more the mascara effect.

There are also different colors to choose from, we have Black, Perky Brown, Azure Blue, Groovy Green, Red Velvet and Romantic Violet.

Honestly, I was surprised on the color selection as I only want the Black one; hence, I know some people are different and they like color in their life. :)

In the next pictures you'll be seeing the before and after pictures of me and other guests and walk-in customers during the first day of the salon.

Here's my before picture...

As you can see, I have lashes and they're not bald just thin one's so I wanted to get thick lashes.

The lashes I picked was the Full Diva lashes with .10 mm and 8.mm thickness on a "Fierce" design.  I got the service from Dorie (on the picture below), by the way every service includes an eye treament.  This is Q10 collagen as eye patches while you're working for your lashes, you get a plus for keeping your eye area beautiful.

In progress...

Walk-in customer's from our SMDC Light Branch, they are so pretty with their new lashes.

So, when you avail the regular priced items, they give out a loyalty card.  This card has it's own perks depending on how frequent you visit.  It's also a reminder card as it has the top 12 things you need to remember when you have your extensions on.

As you can see, on your third visit you get 15% off your lash service and the percentage goes up at 25% on your sixth visit and 50% off on your 10th visit.  This is a great deal that you guys may want to consider.

As we go along, its not only lashes that's offered here; threading services and waxing are also available.  Also, in the next couple of weeks will be offering basic manicure and pedicure plus gel nail polish services.

Overall, without any bias I like the place.  Right now, my lashes are on their 9th day and while it's normal to loose some due to circumstances like unexpected rubbing of the eyes, clumsiness and all, I'm quite impressed as the lashes are still on my eyes.

Moreover, they are comfortable to the eyes.  It's my second time to have this one from another shop and it's quite heavy but this feels like my own.  With all honesty, for the past 9 days that I had my lashes, I only had full on make-up twice as the lashes itself already gives me a polished/ready to go look and all I need was a lipstick.

To add on, I just came home from a swimming party yesterday and my lashes are still intact. Prior to that I was sweating massive while playing volleyball last Sunday.

I just want to note as well that these lashes are really temporary it's a good 3-4 weeks and it needs maintenance to keep them nice and all that.  But if you know how to care for it, the maximum life of this is about 1-2 months.

As always, thank you or reading my blog.  Do comment below what do you want to see in my future blogs and let me know your thoughts about lash extensions.  Please share the love and the news.

Oooh before I forget, the services for the lashes are currently on 50% off until March 31st, so don't forget to visit our SMDC Light branch and it's a very good add on while on the beach or the pool with your loved one's or friends. :)

Food Review: Crab N' Crew Restobar

Last Saturday was the day I went back to Quezon City, for those of you who knows me, I rarely go to this city as I hate traffic and this big place is an unfamiliar territory for me.  On the contrary, my friends was able to track down a good restaurant along Visayas Avenue and when there's a good deal and great finds I must be there.

The name of the place is Crab n' Crew, the place is located at 77 Visayas Avenue Quezon City.  I saw this place running down my news feed in social media and we have been planning to go to this place for weeks now.  Finally, I was able to go here last Saturday.

The catch, all you can eat mud crabs (alimango) from opening till closing time.  The restaurant opens from 10:00 a.m - 10:00 p.m. (12 hours), if your blood pressure can still take it and you're with good company of family and friends, I don't think eating tons will be a problem.

As you can see in the picture below, Crab all you can costs 699 pesos.  This includes unlimited crabs, rice and lemon iced tea.  They also have a standard, vinegar or garlic butter sauce.  Not bad in my opinion, but my dad said, you got to eat at least 2 kilos of crabs to really get the value for the money you'll pay.  There's no more service charge and it's all in for 699.

Before anything else, let's try to have a look around the place.  When we arrived at the place from Pasig, it was around 5 p.m. in the afternoon. I haven't eaten breakfast nor lunch so I'm up for the challenge.  They have parking outside and underground, which is a good thing.  The place looked safe and it's in the first floor of the building.

I like the vibe it gives outside, it's simple, wooden tables and an umbrella outside, metal chairs.  When you enter this place, you feel like you're at home and just waiting for the food to come on a Sunday lunch with family.

Up on the walls, you see different pictures of crew, cooks and lights. It feels cozy, up on the side of the wall you see the name of the place and a bar in the middle.  The restaurant itself is not big, but I can see the reality of this place when it's packed.  I guess we picked a good timing and with no reservations we got a slot, phew!.

I would have loved the place though if it was a little bit cooler, battling with food is a hard task.  I give the place for it's surrounding a good 4 out of 5.  There's a good potential this could be a 5.

Here's an idea of how much the other entree's they offer costs.  As you can see it's not all crabs but other seafoods and chicken/pork are also available.

Look how cool their bar is, we could have stayed and drank on that day but we didn't as food was out target for the day.

The staff was very friendly though, we had one mishap when one waiter's dropped iced tea on the table but that won't stop us from eating. :) Shit happens! :) See how cute the tagline "Crabs gather here", super cute!

Here I am with my friends before my battle with crabs began... :)

The tables are taped on a paper underneath is plastic for easy clean-up, yeah! They also have tool to help you attack the crabs, I was so fascinated by the big stone then the wood thingy that acts like a mortar and pestle.  Believe me it helped me a lot.

Start time.  The crabs are small from what I was expecting, I remembered the crabs my papa brought home and they were big.  It's medium sized and they kind of toss the crabs down the table about 6-8 pieces per drop.  They already took off the legs except the claws but that's okay. While I didn't like the garlic butter sauce as it's bland I liked the crabs and the vinegar sauce.  Surprisingly, these crabs were sweet and fatty oh yeah! :)

I think my friend and I were able to get around 8-10 rounds of crabs while talking to each other like how a drinking session would be like.  Don't share this though, we were there for about 3-4 hours and it was worth it. I remember I had to tell my friend to get my maintenance just to make sure no blood pressure goes up and cheat day is on!

Let me tell you that I have never eaten more than 2 crabs in one seating! I must say, it's an accomplishment.

We also tried the Crab Dynamite for 165 pesos for 6 pieces if I remember it right.  I was craving for something like this the past days, so yeah it satisfied my craving.  Though, I must say, I didn't taste the crab much. It's a good 3 out of 5 for me.

In conclusion, I must say that I enjoyed the trip I had here at Crab N' Crew Restobar. It was a great experience mixed with good food and great company of friends.  I rate this bar a good 4 out of 5.  Soon from their page I see there will be oysters and squid, whatever that new thing will be I'm pretty sure I'll be around soon.
