Hadabisei Wrinkle Care Serum Mask - Review

Okay, so I'm not sure where my craze for skin care started but it's just recent, maybe last year when I reached my 30th of year existence in this world.  Kidding aside, I have never been too keen on skin care as I'm not acne prone, dry or even wrinkly (Thank God). To even give you a secret I have never tried professional facial care, I'm not even complaining.  

Though my skin has it's own flaws, since I'm aging gracefully I think it's now time for me to help my body be at it's tip top shape. I am scared on the time it will be soggy.

So my knowledge of the Hadabisei Wrinkle Care Serum face mask came from one of the famous Youtubers here in the Philippines Ms. Say Tioco Artillero, so I follow this young lady in her everyday vlogs and beauty videos and there I found love with this face mask. I see her using it to prep for make-up and before sleeping.

My curiosity was very big and I had to buy one for myself, I finally found one at Beauty Bar in Capitol Commons as the Shangri-La branch doesn't have this available.  This retails for 795 pesos for 40 pieces that is roughly about 20 pesos per sheet mask with all it's goodness for  1 month and 10 days of use, not bad right.

So yes, I'm raving on this product as it makes my skin very supple and smooth. I like how I'm feeling the serum seeping in my skin and just being nourished by it.  This is a big thumbs up and I strongly recommend it to you guys. 5/5 rating woot woot!

It says that you can use it daily as part of your skin care routine.  It says to help diminish the appearance of dryness-included wrinkles and promote plump, firmer skin.  This is also formulated with Gold Retunol Ex and 30 types of serum essence*.  The sheet itself is made from 100% natural cotton that seals in the serum to promote dewy and hydrated skin.

The packaging comes in a zip lock form where you can see all the masks stacked and all it's serum, don't forget to close it properly as it might dry out.  No funky smell on this one too. I love it to say the least. How To Use

1 Please use the mask after cleansing and toning your skin.
2 Open the bag and take the mask out of the bag.
3 Align the openings in the mask over your eyes, then over your mouth. 
4 Leave the mask on for 5 - 10 minutes.
5 Remove the mask and massage the remaining serum into your skin. Suitable for daily use depending on your skin's condition.

Biore Cleansing Oil Review + Demo

In this day and age, a lot of companies has released different products that are innovative and easy to use especially in the make-up industry.  A product I want to talk about today is the Biore Cleansing Oil that I have been tryin the past few months. 

So let's get it on with the review.  I start the pictures below with a full face gone wild and cleansed so beware. Also, I did a YouTube video of my review and demo.

Product Claim:

• Instantly dissolves stubborn make-up and even waterproof mascara
• Claims to remove medium to heavy make-up
• Doesn't emulsilfy at first water contact
• Non-greasy or sticky feeling after use
• Gentle and mild on skin
• Refreshing fragrance

Product Packaging: It's in a plastic container with a pump, has a lock and a cap. I love how it's packaged nice pink purplish color, easy pump for product release and has a lock to avoid spillage or wasting product. You can see the poroduct thru and it's simple.  Also, I love how you see the instructions how to use it for first timers and it's claims.  Likewise, how it thoroughly work. 

Fragrance: I love how you smell that suttle fresh scent that it's not bothering to your nose and it doesn't linger

Price: This costs 299 pesos for me you get 150 ml of product and you don't need to use a lot to make it work.  Value for money is at it's finest.  A lot of cleansing oils out in the market at ranging for 1K and above that's as far as where I have checked only.

Trying it out:

Since I have trying this product for quite some time, I'd like to share that I love it like it's a dream. I for one does heavy make-up even for regular go to the office or ran an errand activity.  So, when I first tried it I was expecting it will just melt and I will still use tons of facial wash afterwards. 

However, I was wrong as it works like wonders.  I first put in a couple of pumps rub my hands and then slather the product and working it on my face and as you can see on the pictures below it melted the make-up.  A tip/suggestion, once you put in the product work the oil in your face so it goes down the pores and really takes the gunk off your face.

 I have tried Laura Mercier's cleansing oil and it's great but this is a little bit more thick in consistency for me and like it's claim, it doesn't emulsify at first contact with water. This means you have time to melt your make-up till your ready.

I tried to give you a glimpse how I did it and I tried it first on one half of my face.

 Girls you don't have to like super press the product on your face just massage it and everything will follow. See how the make-up melted on the pictures below. Phew!

Once you are happy with the meltdown, lol you are ready to wash and then again help it emulsify and it will bubble like a face wash.

Verdict:

Okay, so my final thoughts on this Biore Cleansing Oil is it's a great product you may try if you're tired of using your cleansing wipes and you wanted a deep clean.  It can also be if you no longer want to repeatedly wash your face with the make-up wash that takes time. It's a one stop rinse-off remover. This doesn't make my face greasy afterwards which is a plus, normally oil cleansers gives you that oil film after cleaning to make it more hydrating.  I feel like my face is like a baby's bottoms after using it. I'm giving this a big 5/5 with the rating.

Sigma Spa Mat Review

If you're into make-up, be it that you are a make-up enthusiast, professional make-up artist or simply a make-up lover I know you share the same dilemma when it's time to clean your brushes. 

If you're like me that has a good number of brushes around, you know it will take you hours cleaning them the traditional way.  When I say traditional, it's the one brush, put a gentle soap, swirl it on your palm and then some use olive oil or additional solution before you finish cleaning more than a dozen number of brushes.  By the time your done, hands will be wrinklier than your grandma's.

A lot of companies out there has released their own tool to make our lives easier and this is what I wanted to talk about today.  Sigma Beauty launched their Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Mat in addition to their line of Spa Gloves line.

Girls/Boys, it's always a good practice to make sure that your tools (brushes) are clean every time you use it.  You don't want those bacteria entering your face as this will give you acne and all sorts of skin diseases, don't you? Let me take you in action on my experience of this new product I discovered.                              

The all new Sigma Spa Brush Mat have 7 patented textures to help us make-up lovers clean our eye and face brushes.  It's a hands free tool and you can now say goodbye to wrinkly hands each time you use it.  Likewise, the cleaning time will be cut into half.  

This also has suction cups at the bottom of the mat to keep it in place; you don't want your investment (brushes) to whirl around the mat and potentially break it right.  It's said to also fit almost 32% of the sinks available.

The dimensions of this mat is 15.15 in 9.8 inches/38.5 cm x 25 cm.

So now the demonstration part, I tried my best to showcase below how I the Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Mat and I'll let you know my thoughts.

STEP 1 - Wet the brush - Always remember not to soak your brushes to the water to avoid premature breakage and to make your brushes last longer.  Don't let the water go inside the ferrule and loosen up the glue that holds the brush hair.

STEP 2: Apply the cleaning solution.  In this case, wet the cleanser and swirl your brush around a couple of times.

STEP 3: Depending on what brush you are cleaning (in this case an eye brush), you swirl or rub your brush on the section that says "Wash Eyes"

For a more deep clean, select refine plus for eyes (See Below).

STEP 4: Use the rinse eyes texture to clear all of the soap and bubbles and leave your brush to dry using your drying mat of whatever you use to dry it out.

From the time I got to use this particular tool, my life in cleaning my brushes has improved.  It no longer take me hours to clean it and I'm sure that the bristles are on tip top shape once done.  I'm giving this a big 5/5 rating as it's a tool for your make-up kit.

Also, the procedures are the same but you need to use the other side of the textures for face brushes.

By the way I got mine at Luxola website and this retails for 1,475.50 pesos.  This is a good deal as this will help you extend the life of your brushes and helps you avoid bacteria build up on your tools.

Trying out OOMA Japanese Rice Bar by Chef Bruce Ricketts

Hello guys/girls, how's your weekend so far? I hope it's pretty good as most of you probably had their long weekend and I'm sure you're ready for work tomorrow.  But let me share to you my weekend as I'm not one of those lucky people who had normal holidays.

I traveled to Japan today and I visited this awesome place, nah I'm kidding but I wish I had that chance.  Now, kidding aside my friend Anj can't stop talking about this place since she dined there a couple of weeks ago and told me I'm going to like it.  When this friend of mine talks about things like this with a manner of urgency, this better be good I told her.

Since I'm so stressed due to the long work week I had, I agreed to go.  The place is OOMA Japanese Rice Bar by Chef Ricketts.  All I know about him that he is part of the Moment Group to which has opened a lot of great restaurants here in the metro (Thank you for that) and his vision really clicks with all the masses without food being so up the bar in price.

What intrigues me more is when I saw Manila Bulletin writes about this place and when a place reaches the papers it's just two things, it's really good or someone pays for the advertising in my opinion.  So today, I had to go after also reading a lot of good reviews on this new place.

I'm such a fan of themed restaurants especially when it jives to the food they serve.  This place is set-up like no other I've been into.  It looked like a background in an old Japanese marketplace.  This like took me to another dimension. A+ for creativity on the place.

While I think that the place is small than what I'd expect, it's still has a cozy feel.  The long lines coming here is really worth the wait.

The servers are very friendly and willing to answer quickly on your questions.  They are also prompt and set good expectations.  

While waiting for our food, I was reading the menu and found out that the word "OOMA" is a play on the Japanese word translating to the word "umai" meaning good.  

To my Filipino readers, remember "Umay" in our language translates more to "enough" or "tired of eating the same thing" well I just thought about that since I find it wonderful having different meaning of terms in different languages.

Going back, for me their vision is to create good food that is usually craved by the people. This is of course summarizing my take on what I've read about them below.

 Let's continue, I'm the type of person that I need a soda, juice or whatever type of drink every time I eat.  Good thing they offer bottomless brewed Lipton iced tea (85).  Next I'd like to show is the that paint brush like thing below, it's their soy sauce and I think it has mirin on it that you brush away for the maki's you eat.  Cool concept :)

 For appetizers, we got the corn and oyster kaki-age (php 155).  Basically this is tempura style fried oysters and Japanese corn in tempura batter matched with Kimchi Aioli and Seaweed (Nori) Salt.  I like texture and crunchiness of the kaki-age; however, I'd enjoy this more if there's a lot of osyters inside it.  Also, the kimchi aioli is kind of bland to me, I mean I don't feel there was kimchi at all.  What I liked though was the nori salt.  It's not something I'd crave to order but a nice to try. I'm giving it 3/5.

OMMA taco maki shown below was an inspiration that comes from the "temaki" or cone shaped maki. Each serving has two taco maki's and what I've tried was the Uni Ebi Tamago Taco-Maki (php 220).  The presentation is unique like an open face maki as they say and this has sauteed prawns, kani, tamago, uni, wasabi, ginger and alique mayo.  Who can say no to that description right.  The first piece just went inside my mouth and it's gone.  The different ingredients just married it's way to my palette and all that's left to me was a smile, craving for more.  :) This is definitely a good 5/5.

On to the next dish, it's the Salmon Tartare Aburi Maki (php 295).  Aburi means to burn something and this is Japanese blow torching raw fish to showcase the flavors of the dish.  The first time I'd tried Aburi maki in Akira, I was in love.  This is better than regular maki's I've tried.  Oh my gosh, I'm salivating now just remembering how satisfying this experience was.  Each serving comes with 6 pcs and this includes scallops, salmon, cucumber, uni aioli, shiso leaves, togarashi (Japanese for genus Capsicum, or specifically the species Capsicum annuum, and commonly translated as chili pepper. When the term is used in English, it refers to any number of chili peppers or chili pepper-related products from Japan) and house tare.  First try of this dish the flavors just bursted out in my mouth and they had a party.  It's very fresh, and full of it's savory goodness. I can't say anything bad about it, it's heaven.  It's a big 5/5.  

 We had to try some more and the last one we tried was the Unagi Maki (consists of Broiled Eel, cream cheese, fried shallots, toasted rice) and this cost 299 php. It's like the typical maki but just with toasted rice and if you know me I love eel with teriyaki sauce.  While it's good, I feel that it's just like basic maki as I enjoyed the aburi version more. I give this a good 4/5.

Think we're done, nah that's just starters.  Here comes our main dish.  We ordered 3 cups of chahan (Japanese fried rice) that claims to be good for sharing at 99 pesos, it's a good thing we asked (like hungry eaters we are) and the waitress showed the good for one cup but segway and said this place offers complimentary plain rice in case we want extra rice.  

I'm not too fond of this but it tastes good.  I just fins the one's I've tried at other places better.  Love though the rice consistency on this.  I'd give it 3/5.

 Last we tried was the Hanger Steak (php 495) and this is basically Sous-vide hanging beef tenderloin usually a lesser known type of beef coming from the diaphragm of a beef or cow, from what I've read this is also considerably same as flank steak.  As a meat eater, I love how great this dish was served.  The steak was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful.  This is served on top of a sweet potato mash cooked in white truffle oil, ponzu butter, shitake mushrooms with crispy baby potatoes and green onions.  

Anything truffle related I always try for it's flavor.  I am a sucker for rich tasting food and this is a good thing to seal my tummy and say good night, lol.

 Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience and I'm definitely coming back for more.  I'm also curious about the Unagi Don and the other aburi maki's and the desserts.  We went here so late so we had to rush but it's still a very successful experience.  Thanks Anj and Erik for recommending this place to me.
